Sitecore has acquired Boxever, a SaaS based customer data platform. This is a step forward in sitecore’s SaaS journey, along with sitecore experience edge, content hub & the acquisition of four51. Boxever is a Saas based digital experience platform consisting of customer data platform, decisioning & experimentation capabilities. Boxever is a cloud based solution and can be accessed via open web APIs & the main focus is to deliver a data driver, relevant experience for each customer regardless of the channel interacted.
The CDP part of Boxever focuses on aggregating customer data from multiple sources such as CRMs, order management systems etc & makes the data available for targeting campaigns & analytics capabilities. The decision capability allows marketers to create decision strategies using the collected customer data. The logic for this can be as simple as an event trigger to as complex as using AI models using real time data. Boxever is also flexible in terms of working with technology stack with its strong APIs for collecting real time data.
